Improving Health & Controlling Costs Through Innovation: The "Healthy Maine Streets" Initiative

September 19, 2013

Until now, small businesses have had limited capacity to offer worksite wellness programs to help employees be more active, lose weight and quit smoking. Funded by a Community Transformation Grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Healthy Maine Streets is an innovative new initiative to support health and wellness in Maine’s small communities. Through Healthy Maine Streets, local Wellness Councils are bringing communities and small businesses together to create wellness programs in the heart of small town Main Streets. These downtown organizations are woven into the fabric of the community, and improvements will be felt by employees, their families, customers, and the community.

Join this webinar to learn how Healthy Maine Streets is transforming Maine’s communities into more healthy, vibrant places to live and work.
