Partnering with Patients to Improve Care
Quality Counts sponsors and promotes programs that help patients build stronger relationships with their healthcare providers. When patients are true partners in their care it can help lead to better health outcomes.
In the Maine Aligning Forces for Quality initiative, one area of the work is focused solely on consumer engagement. Through this and other efforts, Quality Counts will continue to develop tools and resources for patients to take a more active role in their healthcare.

Consumer Voice
Understanding consumers' thoughts and experiences with healthcare is an important part of deciding how to improve the system. There are currently many projects underway with Quality Counts and its partner organizations that work directly with consumers.
